A Gliding Discovery Flight lifts your spirits, as you glide naturally through the sky. This is a trial lesson, which last between fifteen and twenty minutes and this amazing experience is available in several locations throughout the UK, including Brecon, Denbigh, Devon, Essex, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, and Warwickshire.
Can you imagine gliding free as a bird over the English countryside in these magnificent and elegant craft? On arrival at your chosen venue, you will receive a safety briefing, and then up you and your instructor, in a dual controlled glider, will be winched, or towed by another aircraft to a height of 2000 feet, and then set free to fly over the countryside.
At first your fully qualified instructor will take the controls and demonstrate how to manoeuvre the glider, and then you will be given an opportunity to have a go. Flying time is usually between fifteen and thirty minutes, but this is hard to define, as dependent on weather conditions. If Denbigh is your chosen location, then you will have two winch-launches. If you are physically disabled and would like to learn to fly, you will find that the Oxfordshire gliding club has a converted a glider, specifically for this purpose, and details will be supplied on request.

This way you can just enjoy the thrills of this ultimate adrenalin experience, and it is the fastest and easiest way to get into skydiving, if you are between sixteen and fifty.

Imagine the anticipation, the sheer nail biting tension, as the plane takes twenty five minutes, to climb to the correct altitude, and then, its time, you are over the drop zone, so its now or never. 7.000 feet of freefall, strapped firmly to an experienced instructor, and falling at speeds close to 120 mph.
