Military Vehicle Driving Experience
The Military Driving Experience will provide you with the once-in-a-lifetime chance (if you're a civilian) to drive a unique selection of military vehicles. You'll get to drive an Armoured Personnel Carrier, and army Landrover, and a Bedford Army Lorry. You may also have the chance to drive on of the unique guest vehicles provided by private collectors and charities. The guest vehicle could be a 60-year-old Matador Quad Plus Limber, a 25lb Fieldgun or a fully operational American Humvee. Upon arrival at the Military Driving Experience, you'll get a chance to meet your instructors and receive a full safety briefing. Following the briefing, you'll be issued with full DPM coveralls and a helmet which must be worn at all times for your personal safety. At the experience you'll be split into groups of around six people. You'll then rotate around the vehicles and spend one hour in each driving them over the battlefield course. The entire experience will last around 3.5 invigorating hours. Voucher is good for 10 months after its been issued. The experience takes place throughout the year on various Saturdays. Location: Essex (South East). Minimum age is 18 and participants must have a full UK driving licence. Licence may need to be presented on the day of the event.
