Ultimate Top Gun (Saturdays)
Make the most of a free Saturday with the Ultimate Top Gun Experience. A great choice for those who love flying and relish the adrenalin-fueled blast they' ll get from soaring through the skies in an Extra 300. (An Extra 300 is equivalent to a F1 racing car.) The plane is extra light, is powered by a 300bhp Lycoming engine and features state of the art technology. During the ride you' ll even get a chance to take the controls and experience what it' s like to manoeuvre the aircraft. You' ll fly basic aerobatics, learn how to tail chase and play shoot the bandit. When you arrive, you' ll receive refreshments and then you' ll be kitted out in your gear. You' ll get a pre-flight briefing. Two teams will then be assembled and you' ll get a chance to take part in a practice session of fabulous manouvres. Special effects such as smoke and a special gun will be at your disposal to use during the tail chase with another aeroplane. The flight is about 40 minutes, but you can expect to be in the venue for three to four hours. After you' ve finished flying your formation loop, you' ll return to base for a debriefing. Minimum height is 5ft, the maximum weight is 15 st 7lbs. A filled in medical form is required and those 35 and older require a doctor' s letter confirming their suitability to fly. !
