Jousting Experience
With the Jousting Experience, you enjoy a full day of playing knight on your horse. The action packed medieval thrills experience starts at 10:30 am and ends at 4:30 pm. It' s available from April to October and you' re welcome to bring spectators at no extra cost. Dogs are not allowed. During the Jousting Experience you' ll work with expert horsemen and knights to learn skills such as horse control, how to strike targets, how to use a shield and lance, foot fights with swords and quarterstaffs as well as how to strike targets. You' ll also get a chance to try mounted period games. The day ends with the chance to wear medieval costume and an opportunity to show off your skills in a mini medieval tournament. Located in Warwick (Midlands). The day begins with an assessment of your riding skills and then you' ll learn the story behind jousting and the purpose of the equipment. Combat training will be taught both on and off the horse. After lunch break, you' ll learn moves for a choreographed battle sequence. Voucher valid for 10 months. Lunch not included, but meals can purchased at nearby hostelries. Runs weekends and weekdays. A reasonable fitness level is required. Maximum weight is 20 stone. Minimum age is 16. Some riding experience is encouraged although beginners are welcome.
