Sunsail Competent Crew Sailing Course for Two
Sunsail Competent Crew Sailing Course for Two is an important qualification for beginners, especially as a first step, as you work towards further RYA qualifications, as the competent crew course is a pre-requisite and the basic standard required. You have a choice of venues, either Largs in Scotland or Portsmouth in the South East of England.
The Sunsail Competent Crew Sailing Course for Two is run by the UK's leading sailing provider, Sunsail, who have fleets of up-to-the-minute, well-maintained yachts, water sports of every sort and family-friendly beach clubs in thirty-nine spectacular locations around the world. So you just know this is a top-notch organisation, and be sure of a great adventure as they teach you this extraordinary new skill.
These courses last five whole days and you will usually start your adventure when you join the yacht at seven o'clock on Sunday evening, to meet the crew and be given a basic safety brief. On Monday you will gain man over board experience and how to change the sails. On Tuesday, birthing practises, manoeuvring the engine and navigation instruction. On Wednesday you will experience day and night sailing. Thursday practise drills, followed by the final sail on Friday, plus the presentation of certificates.
