Looking for a once in a lifetime experience day? The breathtaking helicopter lesson experience day is a great initiation to helicopter flying and is ideal for all ages.
Nothing can quite match the experience of hovering in a helicopter for the first time. During the day you get hands-on experience of flying a helicopter, and you will be trained by a CAA qualified helicopter instructor and your helicopter flying lessons count towards a helicopter pilot’s licence.
The experience day is flexible so if you don’t fancy taking the controls yourself, this gift can also be used for scenic helicopter rides over London.
You can choose from two different packages:
Helicopter Lesson Discovery Day
* One to one training from a CAA licensed instructor
* Introductory briefing on helicopter controls and safety
* One flight of 20-25 minutes during which the student takes the controls. Alternatively use your vouchers for scenic helicopter rides over London
* Total helicopter flying lesson approx 40-60 minutes
* Experience gift pack including smart wallet, personalised voucher and message card
Helicopter Lesson Explorer
As Discovery course but:
* A cross-country flight of 40-60 minutes with a possibility of landing away and return (depending on location). Participants have the opportunity to take the controls during the helicopter rides
* Allow 1 ½ - 2 hours for your visit
Your helicopter flying activity day start with a briefing before the flight by a qualified instructorcovering safety, and an introduction to some of the controls.
Then you’re in the helicopter! Your helicopter flying lesson starts from the time the engine turns over. You will be given headphones so that you can hear conversations between your instructor and air traffic control, and so that you can talk with your instructor. Once in the air, you will be able to take the controls but your pilot will generally undertake the take-off and landing.
