Full Monty Tank Day
Full Monty Tank Day lets you experience up close and personal the thrill of driving a 56-ton tank and at least three other military vehicles. You’ll also get to fire a musket and complete a selection of other military related exercises. The musket that you’ll learn to fire is a Flintlock Musket and you’ll also learn to fire a 17th century Mortar. Once you’ve learned these new skills, you’ll get to use them to compete against other contestants. The Full Monty Tank Day includes a briefing about modern terrorism. You’ll get to compete at SAS skills in the woods. The day’s winner gets the chance to balance a 56-ton Chieftain Main Battle Tank on top of a family saloon car! Now there’s incentive to beat the other contestants! The day begins at 9 am and finishes at 6:30 pm. You’re going to get wet and dirty so bring clothes with this in mind. Also wear boots or stout footwear. Other gear such as safety helmets, suitable coveralls and goggles and gloves will be supplied to you if needed. The Full Monty Tank Day includes lunch and refreshments. This will be an unforgettable experience for anyone who takes part in it. Minimum participation age is 13. Runs the last Saturday of every month.
